As an influencer, growing your Instagram audience is one of the biggest challenges of the trade. It can be tough to increase your number of followers while still ensuring that they are quality followers, which is why so many influencers turn to Instagram growth services to help them do it. In fact, many are turning to one company in particular: Upleap.
Over the last few years, Upleap has garnered a great reputation in the influencer industry. It’s likely the most renowned and trusted growth service available on the market, so we wanted to give it a try for ourselves and do an in-depth Upleap review
Below we will review Upleap and evaluate whether or not it’s a beneficial tool for influencers.
What is Upleap?
Upleap is an Instagram growth agency that helps businesses and influencers to increase the number of followers on their account in an organic manner, expand reach and improve engagement.
The company’s goal is to help their customers grow their social presence on the platform. According to Upleap, their customers can see an increase of up to 300% growth on Instagram by using their services.
My first impression of Upleap is that it was very easy to use. They offer a free three-day trial, which allows you to get a feel for the app and hopefully see some results before committing to pay for it. No credit card is required for the free trial, which is refreshing to see.
In addition, Upleap really streamlined the task of signing up. They ask you a few basic questions as part of the registration process:
-Create a password
After you’ve submitted your details, you have to verify your email address before finalizing registration. The whole registration took a mere 30 seconds and I was all set up.
The next step was to provide more detail to my account manager by answering a few specific questions regarding my Instagram account and followers, which I will discuss below.
How does it work
Real Account Managers
Unlike many other Instagram growth companies, Upleap assigns real people (account managers) to work on your Instagram account. Many other businesses that offer similar services simply hack the Instagram API instead.
Your Account Manager’s goal is to help you get to “influencer status” and to help businesses drive their social presence on Instagram. In order to do this, your account manager will like Instagram posts, comment, follow and unfollow, and view stories on your behalf to help grow your Instagram account.
The only downside here is that in order to join Upleap, you must provide your Account Manager with your username and password to your AM so they can start engaging with other accounts and post on your account, but don’t worry they are 100% trustable
Personalized to your target audience
During the signup process, Upleap asks strategic questions to better understand your needs and what your Instagram account is all about. For example, I was asked about any relevant hashtags I use when I post, target locations, and other accounts that are similar to mine.
According to Upleap, the answers to these questions will then help your Account Manager to grow your following, and ensure that your new followers are geo-targeted and relevant to your niche.
Upleap Engagement pods
Upleap also encourages its customers to participate in engagement pods in order to boost your number of followers. In engagement pods, influencers ultimately send a post into the engagement pod and then the other people in that pop will like & comment on your post to get more engagement, this shows Instagram that people are engaging with your post so Instagram will then boost up the post reach meaning you’ll get way more organic reach which means = More likes, more comments and more followers!
How is Upleap’s customer support?
In my experiment using Upleap, I found their customer support team to be extremely attentive. All of my support tickets were responded to in a timely manner (within 2 days), and they provided helpful replies.
Although, I was confused as to why I could not speak directly with my Account Manager. Apparently, Upleap believes that it’s easier for all queries to pass through their support team as opposed to their Account Managers addressing their clients concerns. I think this is probably one of Upleap’s biggest downsides.
Is it useful for influencers?
As far as Instagram growth tools go, Upleap is probably one of the best ones. Given that thousands of influencers and businesses credit it with their success on Instagram, it’s easy to see why it has become so popular.
Overall, Upleap is a helpful tool for Instagram influencers that are trying to take their accounts to the next level. In particular, micro and macro influencers can benefit greatly from using a service like this one. However, influencers with fewer than 50k followers probably don’t need to purchase Upleap’s premium plan. For an influencer with a smaller audience, the Lite or Standard plans would be sufficient.
Growing your Instagram account isn’t an easy task, but it’s a necessary one if you want to win more brand sponsorships. Upleap is a great way to achieve the growth you’re looking for, but without the hassle.
Upleap offers a free 3-day trial so you can get a feel for the service and understand how it works. Many reviews from customers said they experienced great results within the first three days of use. Moreover, you don’t need a credit card to sign up, which is a huge bonus!
However, after your three day trial is up, you will need to pay for the service. Upleap has three different pricing plans, which can be purchased on either a monthly or yearly basis. Although paying for your Upleap subscription in one go with the yearly plan seems less ideal, they do offer a substantial discount should you choose to pay using this method. It’s a lot of money to part with initially, but it will save you more in the long run.
The following are the different pricing options offered by Upleap:
The Lite plan appears to be basic, but provides all of the necessary tools for those who simply want to grow their personal accounts. The plan includes your account manager, the use of target hashtags and target similar users. It’s ideal for micro or macro influencers.
Lite (monthly payments) – $39/month
Lite (yearly payment) – $349/annually (25% less than monthly)
The Standard plan is slightly more comprehensive than the Lite plan. In addition to the features in the Lite plan, Upleap says that the Standard plan also includes Instagram Story views and faster growth.
Standard (monthly payments) – $69/month
Standard (yearly payment) – $579/annually (30% less than monthly)
The Premium plan is better suited to influencers and businesses that want to see real growth on their Instagram accounts FAST. With the premium plan, customers receive premium support, an account manager, targeted geos, target hashtags, and more.
Premium (monthly payments) – $99/month
Premium (yearly payment) – $709/annually (40% less than monthly)
